Sperohh: Her Resume. List of Credits

Image
Im always humbled when I look at this list.  I was a great model in reference to: Being on time for work/shoots Having a great understanding of the shoot task/and or photographers vision or moodboard I arrived on set always "model ready" Makeup, toes, nails, shaved legs, etc I pulled looks according to photographer specs I hold at least 7 looks in my "Go to looks" and I offered range I rarely needed a break. I came to WORK. I ironically never miss modeling, though there are times when I see a photographer with an amazing book and I want to shoot; however, I then realize that I am so far beyond that moment in my life. Not to say that certain photographers who will honor my rate cant bring me out of retirement. That is ABSOLUTELY a possibility and TF would be considered with photographers who have an amazing portfolio.  RESUME...She did all that. :) Credits/Photographer Listing: Marc Turnley    Dave May          Michelle Masso  Imagination Fuel Seven 15 (x2) ISeekBea

"WHOA..You Shot Those Pictures!!?"

I began taking photos of myself during my modeling career for a very sad and pertinent reason.. NO PHOTOGRAPHERS WOULD BOOK ME FOR THE MACABRE, ARTIST THINGS. I once had a photographer (whom out of respect for him I wont name) actually said to me: "You are beautiful with an intense look, but Black models dont shoot the kind of stuff I shoot." Ya...he said that. Im thinking...um..Im a Black American Model and I wanna.  So, I started shooting myself with my very simple Motorola cell phone, editing in Lightroom and added those images to my portfolio.  THIS IS ONE OF THE FIRST IMAGES I SHOT, AND ACTUALLY HOW I MET MY NOW HUSBAND. My now husband (together and married TEN years)booked me for a shoot based on my portfolio and this image within. During break time of our shoot took me to an early dinner, and he went on and on about my photoshoot with Percocet Push and how he loved this photo and I said humbly said,  "Thats me. Im Percocet Push. I shot that." He couldnt belie

Sperohh: "Hey! You're A...

Hey.. You Are a Mom! You Are Fat! You Are Married! You are OLD (any woman over 30...wtf) So.. Sit Down! Put Your Clothes On! Have Some Self Respect! What Would Your Kids Think!? What Does Your Husband Think!? IVE BEEN THINKING A LOT ABOUT THESE RIDICULOUS BOXES WE ARE PLACED INTO. Its as if once woman hits a certain age, has children and/or becomes a wife she should sit down and be very quiet...dare we upset the world and its delicate balance of misogyny. The harmful part about all this is; its not just misogyny, we as woman spend a ORNATE amount of time shackling one another down with this oppressive language and viewpoint! Personally, the boundaries of who I am as an autonomous being stretch far beyond being any of the above mentioned things; I feel this of ALL women, and I find it disgustingly interesting that MEN are NEVER stricken by ANY of these: You Are a Father! You Are Married! You are OLD! I have yet to hear a group of  women say any of the aforementioned terms in reference t

A beautiful image during one of my tour stops in Atlanta GA, shot by KR Photography...The headline...                                                                                                      "LAUNDRY BAG BUILT TROLL"   Im certainly NOT thin, or even "acceptable" by some, or most..however, I have a small waist, and a "Jawline for DAYYSSSS. The person who thought up this wonderful title went on a complete rant to shame not only my body... but also... "SHAME MY GENDER AND THAT IS HATE SPEECH" "Im a woman; born a woman, raised a woman, living as woman who chose to shave her head." The person who wrote this article about me, is a "fan" of a SG model. I made a comment about this models breast being quite oversized for her body and  this &qu
